Rollingsons launches lease extension calculator

Tuesday 27 January 2015

The first question we are asked when we talk to people about extending their lease is usually " How much will this cost me?" and before spending money on a formal valuation we recommend you use a lease extension calculator to give you a guide as to the likely premium you might have to pay. We are delighted to say that we have now launched our own calculator which can be found on our website. http://www.rollingsons.co.uk/Conveyancing-Solicitors/Leasehold-Enfranchisement/Extension-Calculator

It is important to remember that the calculator is not a replacement for a formal valuation and we always recommend that you obtain a formal valuation before serving a notice but if you want to know whether it might cost you £2000 or £20000 to extend your lease this is the first stop for you.

We work with a small number of leasehold valuers, all of whom are members of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) who will be able to assist you with a formal valuation when you are ready. They will give you advice and guidance about likely cost and once notice has been served on your landlord can undertake the required negotiations for you. Should the matter reach the First Tier Tribunal they will give expert evidence.

Our aim is to provide you with a full service so that the process is as simple and easy as possible for you. We offer a fixed fee so that you know how much you will have to pay for our services right from the start.

To discuss the process of lease extension please contact Jane Canham on 020 7611 5817 or jcanham@rollingsons.co.uk.
